Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Graphics Designer, seconded to our Client from government sector in Doha, Qatar.

 

We envisage success in this role to include;

  • Creating visual concepts & presentations including illustrations, using computer software or by hand, to communicate ideas and information visually. 
  • Developing the  overall layout and production design for various applications such as advertisements, brochures, magazines, and corporate reports. 
  • Creating visual aspects of marketing materials, websites, and other media, including infographics. 
  • Putting together disparate elements of a design created by another professional, such as the icons, photographs, and other components necessary for a website design. 
  • Consulting with clients’ marketing, copywriting, and sales teams to create cohesive designs that reflect our clients’ corporate cultures and goals. 
  • Preparing work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials. 
  • Planning concept by studying information and materials. 
  • Illustrating concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts. 
  • Obtaining approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval. 
  • Preparing finished copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipment. 
  • Preparing final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art. 
  • Ensuring operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment. 
  • Completing projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers etc. 
  • Maintaining technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies. 
  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. 
  • Ensuring effective and on-time delivery of design solutions with great accuracy proficiency and aesthetics. 

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 10+ years of relevant experience ,with a minimum 5 years of demonstrable experience in graphic designing in large-scale infrastructure and building programmes, partnered with a University degree in a relevant field such as Graphics Design, Fine Arts, or equivalent.

  • Proficiency with design software and technologies, with extensive experience with Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, specifically with mock-ups, web design and multimedia presentation.
  • Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5 and JavaScript. 
  • Experience working with WordPress templates. 
  • Experience with computer-aided design. 
  • Graphic design skills, layout skills, creative services, desktop publishing tools
