Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer to join our team based in Kuwait for one of the housing projects. 
This project involves construction of 1,777 houses, along with service buildings, substations, mosques etc.

The Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer will be responsible for providing on-site supervision and technical support for all plumbing and fire protection (FP) aspects of the project. This includes ensuring compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and contract specifications.

 

We envisage success in this role to include;

  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor the progress of plumbing and FP works.
  • Ensure that all plumbing and FP installations are carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.
  • Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals.
  • Inspect and test plumbing and FP systems (e.g., water supply, drainage, sewerage, fire sprinklers, fire hydrants, gas lines).
  • Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to resolve any technical issues.
  • Monitor and document all site activities related to plumbing and FP works.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures for all plumbing and FP works.
  • Ensure that all materials and workmanship meet the required standards.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to verify the quality of plumbing and FP installations.
  • Prepare and submit inspection reports and test certificates.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team.
  • Assist in the resolution of technical challenges and design issues.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Prepare technical reports and correspondence as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures on site.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions.
  • Promote a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Communicate effectively with the client and project stakeholders.
  • Attend project meetings and present progress reports.
  • Address client concerns and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records and documentation.
  • Prepare progress reports, inspection reports, and other relevant documents.
  • Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings.

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 12 years of work experience partnered with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering. 

 

Proven experience in the successful execution of large-scale residential construction projects is a mandatory requirement.
Preference will be given to candidates who are currently residing in Kuwait.
