Responsibilities

The BIM Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes within the organization.

This role involves close collaboration with design and construction teams to ensure all BIM-related tasks are completed according to project requirements and industry standards.

The BIM Manager will manage the BIM team, coordinate project deliverables, and ensure data integrity across all BIM models. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing BIM processes on large-scale projects and possess strong leadership and organizational skills.

 

This role will require some travel to on-site location in KSA.

 

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead the BIM team, providing clear direction and guidance to ensure all BIM-related tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
  • Foster a collaborative working environment, encouraging open communication and teamwork among all members of the BIM team.
  • Mentor and support team members, helping to develop their skills and knowledge in line with project requirements and industry standards.

Project Oversight:

  • Oversee the execution of all BIM activities within the project, ensuring alignment with project milestones and deadlines.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing any issues that may impact the successful delivery of BIM components.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all BIM deliverables are produced to the highest quality standards, in compliance with established guidelines and procedures.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to verify that all BIM data is accurate, complete, and properly documented.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the BIM team and other project stakeholders, ensuring that all communications are clear, timely, and effective.

Liaise with stakeholders, project managers, and external parties as necessary to ensure the smooth flow of information and coordination across all BIM-related activities.

Decision-Making:

  • Make informed decisions regarding the management and execution of BIM tasks, balancing project requirements with resource availability and constraints.
  • Escalate critical issues to senior management or stakeholders when necessary, providing recommendations for resolution.

Resource Management:

  • Allocate and manage resources effectively, ensuring that the BIM team is adequately staffed with qualified personnel at all times.
  • Coordinate with the organization's home office to mobilize additional resources or expertise as needed to meet project demands.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Oversee the preparation and submission of all required BIM reports, including compliance reports, coordination reports, and progress updates.
  • Ensure that all BIM documentation is maintained in accordance with established standards and is readily accessible for review by stakeholders.

 

Qualifications

  • Large-Scale Project Experience: Significant experience managing BIM processes on large, complex construction or infrastructure projects.
  • BIM Implementation: Proven track record in implementing and overseeing BIM processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Team Leadership: Strong experience leading BIM teams, managing compliance checks, and coordinating project deliverables.
  • Technological Proficiency: Proficient in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, and other relevant platforms.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Relevant Field: A degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is essential.
  • Advanced Degree (Optional): A Master’s degree in BIM, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred, particularly for candidates applying for roles in large-scale and complex projects.
