Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Quantity Surveyor to join our Project Management Division based in Kuwait. This critical role will be responsible for ensuring that the requirements of the contract documents are implemented and maintained throughout the contract period and to assist in the review of all commercial aspects.

 

We envisage success in this role to include:

 

  • Ensuring the right resources are utilized effectively at the right time across the team and projects.
  • Ensuring adequate systems and procedures are in place to enable the team to operate efficiently and effectively.
  • Providing overall guidance and training to project staff and managers on Commercial issues and best practice contract management. 
  • Ensuring all Project Managers and Project Directors are accurately reflecting progress made in month and forecasting income in line with the latest and best information available at the time of completion so the Project Managers and Project Directors have a full picture of the future performance of their project and senior management can see the up and coming resource requirements.
  • Reviewing all opportunities for additional fees recorded by the relevant Project Managers and Project Directors and assists in the submission to the Client.
  • Maximizing positive project cash flow through highlighting invoicing opportunities and providing proactive support in the collection of outstanding invoices.
  • Inputting all financial models developed in pricing of prospects to ensure all items are covered and an offer price is derived that will enable KEO to win and deliver opportunities, consistent with the strategy.
  • Promoting best practice in project and bid management by assisting Project Directors and Project Managers in line with what is defined by QMS and established KEO Project Management Policy and Procedures Manual (PPM). 
  • Ensuring all non-standard contract conditions are notified to the Cost/Commercial Manager and relevant Director.
  • Overseeing the settlement and resolution of client and contractors claims.
  • Analysing reports and makes recommendations for performance improvement to achieve budget.

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envisage that you will bring a minimum of 10 years' experience from a similar role within a consultancy, partnered with a Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.

 

KSE (Kuwait Society of Engineers) Registration must be in hand to be eligible for this role.
