Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Materials Inspector (GCC National) to join our award winning team in Riyadh, Saudi. This critical role will be responsible for undertaking inspections on site in accordance with the civil related Inspection and Test Plans (ITP's)

 

 

 

  • Inspecting and verify the quality, quantity, and condition of materials used in construction projects, ensuring they meet specified standards and project requirements.
  • Ensuring that all materials comply with relevant industry standards, specifications, and project documentation, including safety regulations, codes, and quality standards.
  • Conducting sampling of materials (e.g., concrete, asphalt, steel, aggregates) for laboratory testing or field analysis to ensure they meet required specifications.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of material inspections, including test results, certificates of compliance, and any non-conformance issues. Prepare inspection reports for project managers, contractors, and clients.
  • Liaising with suppliers, contractors, and manufacturers to ensure the timely delivery of quality materials. Address any discrepancies or issues related to material quality or delivery.
  • Conducting regular site visits to inspect the delivery, handling, storage, and usage of materials to prevent damage, contamination, or deterioration.
  • Identifying and report any materials that do not meet the specified standards. Coordinate with project teams to ensure corrective actions are taken, such as material rejection or replacement.
  • Supporting the quality control process by ensuring that all materials used on the project meet the required specifications and quality standards. Assist in implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  • Working closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to discuss material requirements and resolve any issues related to material specifications and performance.
  • Verifying and approve material deliveries on-site, ensuring that they align with approved submittals and meet the project’s quality and compliance standards.
  • Monitoring material stock levels on-site, ensuring that adequate supplies are available and properly stored for efficient project progress.
  • Ensuring that material handling and storage practices adhere to safety regulations and environmental guidelines to mitigate risks and prevent accidents.

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 5 years work experience partnered with a  Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
