Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Civil Inspector (GCC National) to join our award winning team in Jeddah, Saudi. This critical role will be responsible for undertaking inspections on site in accordance with the civil related Inspection and Test Plans (ITP's)

 

  • Performing regular inspections of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems installations on construction sites to ensure compliance with design specifications, project standards, and relevant codes.
  • Ensuring that MEP installations, materials, and equipment meet the required quality standards, specifications, and regulatory guidelines, and that the work is completed in accordance with approved plans.
  • Verifying that MEP systems conform to local, state, and national regulations, including safety codes, environmental standards, and building codes.
  • Maintaining detailed inspection logs and records, documenting inspections, issues identified, corrective actions taken, and progress reports. Provide regular reports to project managers, engineers, and contractors.
  • Inspecting materials, equipment, and systems used for MEP installations to ensure they are in accordance with approved submittals and project requirements.
  • Working closely with contractors, subcontractors, and project teams to address any MEP-related issues, ensuring that any discrepancies or concerns are promptly resolved.
  • Conducting on-site inspections during installation, testing, and commissioning phases of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire safety systems, and other mechanical systems.
  • Overseeing or assist in the testing and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring that systems function correctly and meet all performance and safety standards before project handover.
  • Identifying and report any deviations from project plans, specifications, or codes, documenting all non-conformance issues and following up with contractors to ensure corrective measures are taken.
  • Ensuring that all MEP work complies with site safety standards and regulations, and monitor for potential hazards related to electrical, mechanical, or plumbing systems.
  • Identifying potential issues with MEP systems early and collaborate with engineers and contractors to develop and implement effective solutions to prevent delays or rework.
  • Communicating regularly with project engineers, architects, and design teams to clarify any design ambiguities, resolve technical issues, and ensure that MEP systems are integrated effectively with other building systems.
  • Monitoring the progress of MEP installation work against project schedules and milestones, reporting any delays or issues that may impact project timelines or quality.
  • Conducting final inspections of MEP systems to ensure that all systems are fully operational, meet performance standards, and comply with design specifications prior to project handover to the client.

 

 

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will bring a minimum of 5 years' career experience partnered with a Diploma or Bachelor Degree in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline.
