Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Structural Engineer to join our team, based in Dubai, UAE.

 

You will be responsible for the design, analysis, and construction support of the structural components of a large mixed-use mall project. This includes working closely with architects, contractors, and other engineering teams to ensure that the structural integrity of the building is maintained throughout all phases of the project, from design through construction.

 

We envisage success in this role to include;

  • Develop and maintain professional and meaningful relationships with the client to ensure program and project requirements are being satisfied.
  • Design and analyze the structural systems (e.g., foundations, beams, columns, slabs) to ensure safety, stability, and compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Utilize structural design software and methods to calculate loads, stresses, and other structural parameters.
  • Develop detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications for the mall’s framework, including high-rise elements, retail spaces, and parking areas.
  • Providing technical support to the construction team during the execution of the project, including clarifying design intent, reviewing construction methods, and troubleshooting any structural issues that arise on-site.
  • Ensure the delivery of the contracted Design and Construction Management services to the client.
  • Working closely with architects to integrate structural elements with architectural designs while maintaining safety and functionality.
  • Manage and direct the development and maintenance of the program and project schedules for all phases of the project including procurement, planning, design and construction. 
  • Ensuring compliance with all KEO internal processes and procedures.
  • Reviewing applicable structural codes and standards (e.g., AISC, ACI, Eurocode) and apply them to the project as needed.
  • Preparing detailed reports on structural analysis, design decisions, and progress to be submitted to the project manager and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 10 years of relevant experience, partnered with Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

 

  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project. 
  • Ability to use structural analysis and design software, including at least one and preferably several of the following: STAAD, ROBOT, ETABS, SAFE, ADAPT, AutoCAD, REVIT.
