Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Technical Director to join our award-winning team based in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. We are seeking an experienced Technical Director to lead and oversee the technical aspects of a large-scale high-rise construction project in Madinah. This role is crucial for ensuring that all technical operations, design, and implementation meet the highest standards and are delivered on time and within budget. 

 

We envisage success in this role to include;

 

  • Leading the technical team and coordinate with other departments such as planning, procurement, and construction to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Overseeing the development, review, and approval of architectural and engineering designs to ensure compliance with the client’s requirements, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Monitoring and controling all technical aspects of the construction process, ensuring the quality of work meets project specifications and standards.
  • Providing expert consultancy and technical advice to both the project team and clients, resolving any design or construction challenges.
  • Identifying technical risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure the timely completion of the project with minimal disruptions.
  • Liaising with key stakeholders including clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Ensuring all work complies with local building codes, international standards, and sustainability practices.
  • Overseeing the allocation of resources, monitor project budgets, and ensure cost-effective solutions for the project’s technical needs.
  • Establishing and maintain rigorous quality assurance and quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of work are maintained throughout the project.
  • Mentoring, guiding, and managing the technical team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Developing and maintaining client relationships enhancing opportunities and business initiatives.
  • Overseeing the technical aspects of all projects and to work with the PMs and other disciplines to ensure designs within the discipline are in line with the project scope, standards and regulations, budget and client goals.
  • Ensuring that the project design and technical details are carried out to suitable standards for quality as defined in the Project Execution Plan, by taking an active role in the QA/QC procedures for the client within the discipline.
  • Attending and chairing workshops with consultants and contractors, prepares meeting minutes and follows up to achieve identified actions.
  • Advising client on all technical matters pertaining to cost, scope and schedule.
  • Ensuring work is conducted with quality assurance protocols. 
  • Identifies and resolves issues, including management, technical or administrative, to ensure that the project objectives are achieved.

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 25 years work experience partnered with a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or similar

 

Excellent experience in a previous technical PMC role is essential.
