Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Structural Engineer (Design) to join our team, based in Dubai, UAE.

 

We envisage success in this role to include;

  • Assists senior staff in analysis and design of structures. 
  • Assists in the preparation of design documentation. 
  • Assists in coordination of structural design information with requirements of other disciplines.  
  • Participates in the departmental QAQC system as directed. 
  • Assists in the selection of viable alternative structural concepts.  
  • Assists in preparation of design criteria reports. 
  • Prepares structural analysis models. 
  • Designs structural elements. 
  • Ensures that design requirements are properly indicated on drawings.  
  • Prepares complete designs from concept to final design for simple projects, with guidance from Senior Engineers and Technical Leader. 
  • Liaises closely with other disciplines and project managers within KEO and attends in-house design team meetings. 
  • May visit construction sites to clarify design requirements and check that construction is adhering to the design requirements.    
  • Responds to requests for information from the sites.  
  • May perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 7 - 10years of relevant experience partnered with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

 

  • Basic skills with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project. 
  • Ability to use structural analysis and design software, including at least one and preferably several of the following: STAAD, ROBOT, ETABS, SAFE, ADAPT, AutoCAD, REVIT.
