Responsibilities

 

We are seeking talented CAD Technicians - Structures to join us either in  Lisbon or Porto, Portugal.

This critical role will work as part of the Infrastructure team, developing and preparing technical drafting and modelling for Structures related to road infrastructure such as Bridges, Cut and cover tunnels, underpasses, landscape structures, utility related structures. 

 

We envisage success in this role to include: 

  • Producing technical drawings and/or fully compliant 3D models of Bridges and other Civil Structures. 

  • Preparation of deliverables (native and ifc) including data transfer. 

  • Extracting data from models for coordination purposes. Clash detection checking. Assemble federated models and asset tagging models as required. 

  • Assisting with the production of visualization (models views/ sketches) for Structures and other teams. 

  • Producing reinforcement drawings including Bending Bar Schedules. 

  • Liaising with Engineers about the information required, the coordination between different disciplines and project progress.  

  • Collaborating and coordinating with other disciplines to achieve a fully integrated design. 

  • Converting concepts and sketches into engineering drawings based on the project requirements.  

  • Developing workflows for various stages in design and submissions. 

  • Leveraging BIM software and tools as a methodology to coordinate design progress. 

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will have a diploma in drafting, or any other related subject. We welcome all levels of experience, preferable with more than 5 years of experience in a similar position. 

 

Furthermore, you should demonstrate: 

 

  • Proven experience as a CAD Technician in Infrastructure structures (ridges and other infra related structures) 
  • Proficiency in software such as Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit. 
  • Experience in Navisworks, Bentley AECOSim and 3D modelling in Civil 3D, is desirable. 
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills in English.
