Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented OSH Engineer to join our award-winning team based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. 

 

The OSH Engineer will be responsible for maintaining effective operation and management of KEO’s Safety Management System on our project, providing HSE advice and information to KEO staff and contractors, to raise the standards of Health and Safety on site.

 

We envisage success in this role to include:

  • Monitor and enforce standards of safety in compliance with KEO’s Health and Safety Management System and Client requirements.
  • Performing facility inspections and reporting on condition affecting daily operations
  • Monitoring and tracking all facility-related activities.
  • Providing FM technical support to the maintenance teams.
  • Review and inspect work areas, determining potential occurrence of safety hazards.
  • Observe and ensure staff on site always; wear personal protective equipment, use hard hats and protective footwear, operate construction equipment in a safe manner and follow KEO’s safety policies.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the projects to ensure compliance and, where applicable, make recommendations for change.
  • In case of emergency determine and investigate the cause of the accident, establish a report and provide recommendation(s) to prevent future occurrences.
  • Develop and implement safety policies needed to reduce accident-related costs.
  • Regulate set policies, soliciting input from managers and workers.

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you meet the below required selection criteria.

Minimum 12 years' of vivid experience In Health and Safety domain, out of which a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as OSH Asst. Manager or Engineer accompanied by OSH-related Master's Degree from an accredited University.

 

OR

 

Minimum 12 years' of vivid experience In Health and Safety domain, out of which a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience as OSH Asst. Manager or Engineer accompanied by OSH-related Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University  OR  Bachelors Degree + NEBOSH Diploma.

OR

Minimum 12 years' of vivid experience In Health and Safety domain, out of which a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience as OSH Asst. Manager or Engineer accompanied by Post-Secondary OSH Qualification (NVQ level 4/5).

 


In addition to the above qualifications, the candidate shall have successfully completed the "Abu Dhabi Occupational Health and Safety (OSHAD-SF) Practitioners Course" and hold "Grade A or B" registration along with IS0-45001 Lead Auditor qualification.

 

UAE Experience (preferably work experience in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi) is mandatory to ensure the candidate is familiar with the updated statutory (Federal, Local -OSHAD-SF) requirements, as the knowledge will be assessed during the interview process.

Furthermore, the candidate shall provide supporting evidence of all the original qualifications along with experience certificates / letters from the previous entities.
