Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Coordination:

  • Coordinate the MEPF BIM team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and in accordance with project timelines.
  • Foster a collaborative working environment, encouraging open communication and teamwork among MEPF and other discipline-specific BIM teams.
  • Mentor and support MEPF BIM team members, helping to develop their skills and knowledge in line with project requirements and industry standards.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that all MEPF BIM deliverables meet the highest quality standards, in compliance with established guidelines and procedures.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to verify the accuracy and completeness of MEPF BIM data.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for MEPF BIM-related matters, liaising with design engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and coordination across all disciplines.
  • Facilitate coordination meetings and ensure that action items related to MEPF BIM tasks are addressed promptly.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and submit all required MEPF BIM reports, including progress updates, coordination reports, and quality control documentation.
  • Ensure that all MEPF BIM documentation is maintained and readily accessible for review by stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of MEPF BIM processes and implement best practices across the MEPF BIM team.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in MEPF BIM technologies and methodologies, integrating new tools and techniques into the project as appropriate.

MEPF BIM Model Development:

  • Manage the creation, development, and maintenance of MEPF BIM models, ensuring that they are accurate, consistent, and fully coordinated with other disciplines.
  • Ensure that MEPF models comply with industry standards and project-specific requirements, including the accurate representation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

Clash Detection and Resolution:

  • Conduct clash detection and coordinate the resolution of clashes within MEPF models and between MEPF and other discipline models.
  • Work closely with the BIM Manager and other discipline-specific BIM Coordinators to resolve clashes and ensure that models are fully integrated.

Coordination and Integration:

  • Collaborate with design and construction teams to ensure that MEPF BIM models are fully integrated with architectural, structural, and other discipline models.
  • Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure that MEPF models are aligned with construction sequences and installation plans.

Compliance and Quality Control:

  • Conduct routine quality checks on MEPF BIM models to ensure compliance with applicable standards, guidelines, and project-specific requirements.
  • Verify that all MEPF BIM data, including schedules, quantities, and specifications, is accurate and consistent across models.

Technical Support and Training:

  • Provide technical support and training to the MEPF BIM team, addressing any issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure that the MEPF BIM team is fully informed of any updates or changes to procedures, requirements, and policies.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Manage the organization and maintenance of MEPF BIM data, ensuring that it is secure, accessible, and up-to-date.
  • Prepare and present detailed MEPF BIM reports, summarizing key findings and recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Relevant Field: A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, or a related field is essential.
  • Large-Scale Project Experience: Significant experience managing BIM processes on large, complex construction or infrastructure projects.
  • BIM Implementation: Proven track record in implementing and overseeing BIM processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Team Leadership: Strong experience leading BIM teams, managing compliance checks, and coordinating project deliverables.
  • Technological Proficiency: Proficient in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, and other relevant platforms.
