Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Field Supervisor for Landfill Contracts to join our team based in Jeddah, KSA.

 

This position will be responsible for overseeing the operations, compliance, and performance of landfill contracts within the cleaning and waste management projects in Jeddah Governorate. This role will include managing daily activities at the landfill sites, ensuring contract compliance, monitoring environmental standards, and coordinating with contractors and project teams to optimize landfill operations.

 

We envisage success in this role to include:

  • Supervising and managing daily operations at landfill sites to ensure compliance with contract requirements and environmental regulations.
  • Monitoring contractor performance, ensuring that all waste management activities are conducted in accordance with project standards and local laws.
  • Conducting regular site inspections to assess operational efficiency, safety, and environmental protection measures.
  • Coordinating with contractors and project teams to resolve operational issues and improve landfill management practices.
  • Preparing detailed reports on landfill operations, including performance assessments, environmental impact, and contract compliance.
  • Ensuring the proper handling, disposal, and treatment of waste in compliance with local and international environmental standards.
  • Providing recommendations for improving landfill operations and contract management processes.
  • Maintaining accurate records of landfill activities, inspections, and contractor performance.

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 3+ years of experience in landfill operations or waste management, preferably in public infrastructure or environmental projects, partnered with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Waste Management, or a related field.

 

Furthermore, you should demonstrate:

  • Strong knowledge of landfill management practices, waste handling, and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in managing landfill contracts.
  • Ability to work closely with contractors and project teams to ensure operational success and contract compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic.
  • Certification in waste management or environmental compliance (e.g., SWANA, ISO 14001) is an advantage.
