Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Electrical and Energy Engineer to join our team based in Jeddah, KSA.

 

This position will be responsible for overseeing and managing the electrical and energy aspects of the cleaning and waste management projects in Jeddah Governorate. This role involves ensuring the efficient use of energy in project operations, managing electrical systems, and integrating sustainable energy practices. The Electrical and Energy Engineer will work closely with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure that energy and electrical systems are optimized for performance and sustainability.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and managing the electrical systems and energy use within cleaning and waste management projects.
  • Conducting energy audits to assess and optimize the energy consumption of project operations.
  • Designing, implementing, and monitoring energy-efficient solutions and renewable energy systems where applicable.
  • Ensuring that all electrical installations and systems comply with local safety and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborating with contractors and project teams to integrate sustainable energy practices into project operations.
  • Preparing detailed reports on energy consumption, electrical system performance, and sustainability efforts.
  • Providing recommendations for reducing energy costs and improving the efficiency of electrical systems.
  • Staying updated on the latest developments in energy efficiency, renewable energy technologies, and electrical safety standards.

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 3+ years of experience in electrical or energy engineering, preferably in public infrastructure or environmental projects, partnered with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field.

 

Furthermore, you should demonstrate:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, energy efficiency, and renewable energy technologies.
  • Experience in conducting energy audits and implementing energy-saving solutions.
  • Familiarity with local electrical safety standards and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on energy optimization and electrical system design.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic.
  • Experience in integrating renewable energy systems (e.g., solar, wind) into public infrastructure projects.
  • Certification in energy efficiency or electrical safety (e.g., LEED, CEM) is an advantage.
