Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented GIS Specialist to join our award-winning team based in Abu Dhabi. UAE.  This position is responsible for accomplishing complex analytic, data development, data manipulation, and data validation work related to geo-spatial platforms and the manipulation of and interpretation.

 

We envisage success in this role to include:

 

  • Creating and/or preparing, and maintaining critical geo-spatial databases for client projects, including the development of complex geo-fencing boundaries with direct implications to reliability and accuracy of client deliverables, geocode validation, spatial data placement, and dependent model variable data validation with client.
  • Developing advanced specialized maps utilizing geographic and demographic information using programming, database, and graphic skills.
  • Extracting demographic information from various databases for use in maps or reports.
  • Providing support to the project as required.
  • Performing quality assurance on all products or services being developed for projects and clients to ensure product is meeting specified requirements.
  • Interfacing with studio colleagues and clients as the primary database support resource and provides support as needed to support the project.
  • Supporting clients and internal resources in the roles of map development, geocoding, database development, database manipulation, and database design.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 8 years work experience with public realm and master planning developments, partnered with a Bachelor degree and relevant GIS trainings. 

 

Advanced proficiency in ESRI ArcMap, MapInfo, or other GIS-related technologies required for this role.
