Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Commercial Manager – Infrastructure to join our award-winning team based in Amman, Jordan.

 

The market in the Middle East is a challenging market to operate in, and the Commercial Finance function supports the technical business operationally and financially to obtain the best commercial outcome of the activities it undertakes

 

We envisage success in this role to include: 

 

  • Providing financial support and guidance to KEO Middle East’s leaders and Project Directors.
  • Engaging actively throughout the entire lifecycle of a project, from initial stages through to final closeout, ensuring a seamless and efficient process.
  • Promote best practice in project and bid management by assisting Project Directors in line with what is defined by QMS and Project Life Cycle.
  • Supporting projects based in the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and potentially other locations within the GCC so occasional travel may be required.
  • Preparing and contributing to deliver P&L Business Unit annual budgets and half yearly forecasts.
  • Working with the leaders in managing the month-end revenue recognition process along with production of related monthly performance reports to Senior Management.
  • Ensuring Project Directors are accurately reflecting progress made in month and forecasting revenue in line with the latest and best information available at the time of completion.
  • Assisting Project Directors in completing and managing their costs to complete forecasts to ensure there is a clear and accurate data to support the future performance of their projects and the Business Units can accurately assess resource requirements.
  • Attending project review meetings, including the preparation of financial data and any relevant commercial finance actions.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of Commercial Finance related training material to the business.
  • Ensuring working capital reports reflect the latest information available and that all actions are complete on a monthly basis by the relevant Project Director to Improve working capital position.
  • Providing support with regards to the financial build-up of resource and lump sum pricing items for Bids as required.
  • Providing ad-hoc reporting and reconciliations as required by Project Directors and Operations teams.
  • Reviewing and approving all internal and external sub-consultant project and Business Unit overhead related invoices.
  • Preparing and supporting reports for transparent and sustainable financial performance for the business unit.
  • Improving profitability.

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include a Bachelors degree in Accounting & Finance or any related Commercial Discipline with at least 15 years experience working with a similar role within a global engineering consultancy. Chartered ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
